Accessibility

Blockhaven aims to be usable by everyone who wants to read it, including people who use screen readers, keyboards, magnification or other assistive technology.

Effective date: October 18, 2026.

Our commitment

We want every reader to be able to read the research, create and manage an account, give or withdraw consent, and contact us. We check pages with automated tools and by hand as we build them, we fix genuine barriers when we find them, and we aim to meet the accessibility obligations that apply to us.

The standard we work toward

We work toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. That is our target, not a certification: automated tests catch only some problems, an independent audit has not been done, and we do not claim that every page conforms or that the site satisfies any particular law.

What we do

We test with automated checks (Playwright and axe-core), by keyboard, with browser zoom and larger text, and with Windows accessibility settings such as high contrast. Pages use real headings, landmarks and labelled form fields; there is a skip link and a visible keyboard focus; the sign-in code field is a plain text box that accepts paste, with no puzzle to solve; the layout reflows down to a narrow phone screen and respects larger text and zoom; motion is reduced when your device asks for it; and charts and graphics that carry information have a text or table equivalent.

Known limitations

Reading the research needs no account and no check. The sign-in and create-account pages use a Cloudflare Turnstile check to stop automated abuse. It is designed not to need a puzzle, but a third-party widget may not work for every assistive technology. We do not currently offer an alternative way to sign in; if the check blocks you, tell us and we will look at what can be done.

The decorative planet artwork on the home page is hidden from screen readers and carries no information. The Terminal page is a static concept preview. Testing with a screen reader such as NVDA across every page is not yet complete, and we list that here as outstanding rather than assume it works.

Tell us about a problem

If something here is hard to use, or you need information or a task in another form, email info@blockhaven.io with the page address, what happened, and the assistive technology you use if you are willing to say. We monitor that address, will consider each report, and will fix real barriers as soon as practical.
